The MUNI Misc. Rail Replacement Project replaced worn light rail tracks at several locations in San Francisco on heavily congested streets. CMC Traffic Control Specialists were responsible for design and implementation of the traffic control routing plans for both vehicular traffic as well as pedestrian right of ways on this project- including weekend shutdowns of rerouting 19th Ave (US Hwy 1), a main through fare in western San Francisco, for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. We also performed weekend rerouting of traffic for Sunset Blvd, Church Street, l8th street and 30th Street, so that the light rail could be replaced in these heavily congested pedestrian and vehicular areas of San Francisco.

The Doyle Drive Project is a federally funded project to rebuild the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge.  Working as a subcontractor, we directly managed a crew of 20 to 30 flagmen and traffic control supervisors and provided traffic control services to over a dozen contractors.  We provided traffic control services to over a dozen contractors related to the utility relocation activities in the presidio. We engineered several of the traffic control systems and detour routes for both vehicular traffic as wells as bicycle and pedestrian traffic flow through this highly traveled area of the Presidio in San Francisco. We worked closely with Caltrans, and helped coordinated the work between sub-contractors on this project, as well as implementing the traffic control for the construction work.
