This emergency project to re-pave San Francisco's main boulevard, Market St, from 4th St to 6th St involved coordination of several public agencies and contractors. The project required weeks of planning and the road was closed on a Friday night at 7pm, after the rush hour commute. CMC was responsible for closure of the street, detour signage, and flagging operations. We assisted with the coordination of 10 to 15 off-duty San Francisco police officers and SFMTA parking control officers. The project involved re-routing of several major MUNI bus line, bus stop relocations, and de-energizing of the overhead catenary system. The paving was completed ahead of schedule allowing the road to be re-opened and normal MUNI operations to resume early Saturday morning.
